  • The Technical Committee, appointed by the Business Center Corporation (BCC), oversees all competitive aspects of the Dhiveheenge Ufehduntherikamuge Maurazu 2025.

The participant submitting the product is responsible for:

  • Bringing the product to the exhibition venue on the specified date.
  • Displaying the product during the public exhibition period.
  • Ensuring the product is protected from damage.

  • Any Maldivian citizen aged 18 and above can participate in the exhibition under the Individual Category.

  • Any person aged 18 years or older who is registered in the Registry of Persons with Special Needs under Law No. 8/2010 (Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Provision of Financial Assistance Act) is eligible for this category.

  • Island Councils can submit products to compete under the Island-Level Category.

  • City Councils can submit products under the City-Level Category. Individual districts or islands within cities cannot participate separately under their own names.

  • Any association or NGO registered in the Maldives under Law No. 3/2022 (Associations Act) is eligible to participate.

  • Registered centers and institutions in the Maldives that function as educational entities are eligible to participate.

  • Businesses that are 100% Maldivian owned and registered in the Maldives under Law No. 18/2014 (Business Registration Act) are eligible to participate in this category.
What is the process for submitting a product produced by another party in the exhibition?2025-02-24T20:34:07+00:00
  • For categories other than the Individual Category, if another party’s product is submitted, it can only be submitted with a declaration or agreement from the producer stating they have no objection to the product being submitted. The information about the applicant or the representative of the submission must also be completed during the submission process.

If additional factors are to be considered in the scoring, the judges’ committee will publicly announce those criteria.

When selecting winners within each category, each product will be scored individually. The scores of multiple products participated in the same category will not be accumulated, and each product will be judged on its own merit.

  • If a product is machinery, it must be produced after 1st January 2015, and all other products produced after 1st January 2020 are eligible. Additionally, products must not have been previously participated in any other national exhibition.

  • If no product in a category meets the minimum required score.
  • If fewer than five participants enter a category.
Under what circumstances can an award be revoked?2025-02-24T20:38:19+00:00
  • An award may be revoked if it is later discovered that the product violated the exhibition rules. In such cases, the award, including the certificate, prize, trophy, cash prize, and medal, will be taken back.

  • If mandatory product information is incomplete.
  • If requested additional information is not provided on time.
  • If a court order prohibits participation.
  • If the product is not displayed at the designated venue for judging.
  • If the product does not meet BCC’s participation requirements.

  • Each participant can submit a maximum of 15 products. If submitting multiple products, each must be distinct at face value.
  • If more than 15 products are submitted, only the first 15 will be accepted in the order they were submitted.

  • The Gold Award is given to the five highest scoring entries that receive over 85%.

  • The exhibition is open for participation until 31 March 2025, at https://expo.mv/. Interested participants must complete and submit the application form before the deadline. If any required information is missing, the applicant will be notified to provide it.

  • Businesses can participate through their oneGov account, using their registered business name.
How are the complaints regarding the product’s producer handled?2025-02-24T20:36:05+00:00
  • If a complaint is received, the information provided during product submission will be reviewed. If the product was produced by multiple people or another party, the required supporting documents will be checked. If necessary documents are missing, the participant may be asked to provide them.

  • Products are classified into 79 sub-categories within 15 main categories. A product cannot be participated in multiple categories or sub-categories.

  • Participants in the Individual Category must submit products that they have produced themselves. However, participants in all other categories are allowed to submit products made by another party, provided they obtain written permission from the original producer. This permission must be in the form of a signed declaration stating that the producer has no objections to the product being participated in the exhibition.

  • Individual category participant’s marks will only be used for accumulating points for ranking island-level, city-level and education category.

  • If the Technical Committee or Judges’ Committee requires further details, they may request additional information, which must be provided by the applicant.

  • BCC may introduce additional requirements depending on the category of the product, such conditions will be announced publicly.

  • Yes, products made by more than one person can be submitted. However, only one of the producers can submit the product. A document confirming that the other producers have no objection must be provided.
